It was our first time exhibiting at Futurebuild and here's a quick roundup of the event.
The first Futurebuild took place earlier this month, as a successor to Ecobuild, at the ever-impressive ExCel in London and we were delighted to be part of it.
Our stand was part of the Vision@Futurebuild zone, which focussed on exploring the latest technologies and approaches for the built environment. It also played host to a number of fascinating seminars around a "Future Vision of London" in the Vision Theatre.
In contrast to the vast stand at Orgatec, where we had practically every product from We Design Silence working together, we kept things ultra simple with a single Mood Tube, giving people the chance to try out our clever acoustic workbooth in a naturally noisy environment.
Mood Tube's design caught the eye of many visitors and it was a pleasure to talk face to face in a quiet space amongst the hubbub. With its comfortable seating, integrated lighting and power supply, people had a chance to sit down, plug in and read up about our acoustic products.
Across from the stand was the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce lounge where we installed one of our Khamsin workbooths. It also proved to be extremely popular, providing a small haven for networking and quick meetings. In an event of this size it can be difficult to find a comfortable corner, Khamsin presented a perfect demonstration of how acoustically engineered products can really make a difference to productivity and wellbeing in any environment.
We also attended the 100@London networking dinner where We Design Silence CEO, Eric Dor and Design Director, Adam Cockerham had a chance to talk about our Yorkshire/Belgian brand, giving an entertaining presentation complete with flat caps! It was a great opportunity to meet with architects and specifiers and introduce them to who we are and what we do.
Thank you to everyone who attended both events and made it a very interesting couple of days!
