Meet the Designers

Join us at designjunction to hear exclusive talks from Alain Berteau and Barry Jenkins.

This year’s designjunction is shaping up to be quite the event! If you are in the London area this week, make sure you get tickets and pop along to the South Bank.

The event, which runs as part of the London Design Festival, takes place over 4 days from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd September and brings together some of the most interesting and exciting cutting-edge design.

It is a fitting scene for the launch of We Design Silence, our new brand focussed on high end acoustic solutions for the interiors market.

To celebrate the launch, we’ll be hosting an exclusive talk from 6pm on Thursday 20th September, featuring acclaimed designers  Alain Berteau and Barry Jenkins, each of whom have designed part of the We Design Silence range.

Alain Berteau
Award winning designer and architect Alain Berteau is the Creative Director of We Design Silence. His work is renowned for its simple but decisive functional innovation, eco-friendly solutions and versatile convenience. On Thursday, he will be discussing his vision for the We Design Silence 'Mood' range. Mood is a collection that enables designers and architects to effortlessly create their own interior landscapes through a number of beautifully designed modular pieces.

Barry Jenkins
Founder and Director of leading product consultancy BroomeJenkins, Barry Jenkins, will be talking about the creative development of Bedouin. Developed in response to a growing demand for flexibility in workplace design, Bedouin is a light, stable and mobile freestanding screen that can be used individually or in a cluster to create any kind of private space you need, instantly. Barry will be sharing some of his considerable design experience and an insight into the creative process.

The talks will take place on the We Design Silence stand, number F3 at Doon Street, from 6pm on Thursday 20th September.

During your visit, make sure you also go and see The Designers’ Dreamscape designed by Squire & Partners in partnership with designjunction and RIBA London. We have produced a number of acoustic panels to help create this highly stimulating multi-sensory co-working space and it’s well worth a visit. Also located in Doon Street, the installation supports the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, whose aim is to inspire and enable young people to study architecture, and the space will also host a number of workshops throughout the event.

designjunction runs from 20 – 23 September 2018, we hope to see you there!
